DEPARTURE IN THE SILVER EAGLE OR A HOSPITAL CALLED SILVER EAGLE ?

09:00
The packing of all the bags did not take long, I mention to everyone: we will get into a routine, it will get easier as we experiment and see what fits best where.
Dietmar keeps out of that. That’s good. I prefer it that way.

Departure 10:14 Uhr, Runway 27R

We had to wait for two incoming flights, it seemingly took long time, our first departure, you want to get going, and that period of waiting felt as if our flying time was going to double...

10:58
Minus 16 Degree
Very Thin Ice on our windows, inside that is.

We would have never been able to departure from Hildesheim nor Egelsbach. The whole of Germany is covered with a very thick cloud

We just hear Munich airport is in a cloud.
Good Decision, Dietmar to move the Silver Eagle to Hannover yesterday.
At least we are on our way now.

Iam suffering in silence, I have not mentioned to the others that Iam in severe pain. My sinuses are so sore.
Meine Stirnhoehlen, I fail to think of the english name right now, are so sore. I can hardly concentrate on what Dietmar is saying.

He is saying we have another 2,5 hours flying time left and we have fuel for another 4,5 hours.

That’s reassuring to know. We will not go down because of lack of fuel. By the way, that’s the most  common reason for aviation accidents. Running out of fuel. We won' t do that.
We have 5 Fuel Tanks, that includes the two wing  tanks , the tank below the storage room and the two tip
tanks.
Altogether 144gallons equals  560litre of Jet Fuel.

The pressure in my ears is settling a bit and. I try and move my jaws, right left up down, still no improvement, I keep going right left up and down, and so on.

In the back Juergen is napping, he looks pale, he has a hight temperature of 40 degree C.
Before departure we gave him a paracetamol tablet.

Silke looks and feels good.

Juergen felt a bit offish and flushed yesterday but this morning not so lekker. We hope he improves later on.

Dietmar is good and has not had a cough attack.
That’s left to me.

We are crossing the Alps and we enjoy beautiful views..

The flight is very still, no turbulences with a tailwind of 8knots.
We are very fortunate.

That’s 5%, of the speed, makes us exactly 8 minutes faster.

We are very fortunate indeed.

Over Zell am See, beautiful partly clear views.

Arrival in Zadar very pleasant, Sunshine, clear skies, prompt fuel Service, we are happy.

Dietmar is doing his admin, me loading pics down and Jurgen who is not well is having a rest.
